This quick 10-minute meal uses the Innobaby Din Din Smart Silicone Chicken Steamer for an easy microwaved steamed egg reminiscent of the soft, flavorful steamed eggs served in Korean stone bowls. In the steamer’s separate compartment I thawed frozen peas and corn, mixed them with butter and cooked rice, and served the steamed egg with apple slices for a simple, balanced plate.

Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- optional 1 tsp mirin (rice wine)
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
-
Beat the egg in a bowl until smooth.
-
Add mayonnaise, fish sauce, toasted sesame oil, mirin (if using), and water. Whisk until combined; it’s fine if the mayonnaise does not fully dissolve.
-
Pour the mixture into the Innobaby Din Din Smart Silicone Chicken Steamer.
-
Cover with the lid and place the steamer on a plate to catch any spills. Set the microwave to 50% power and heat for about 2 minutes 30 seconds, or until the egg is fully set. Microwaves vary, so adjust time as needed.
