These irresistible cinnamon sugar pretzel bites are made with a simple two-ingredient dough — Greek yoghurt and flour — so there’s no yeast or proofing involved. They bake quickly in the oven or crisp up beautifully in the air fryer, making them an ideal sweet treat when you want something fast and comforting.

I loved the classic cinnamon sugar pretzel bites long before trying this no-yeast version, and this recipe delivers the same warm, sweet flavor with far less effort. These bite-sized treats are soft, buttery and dangerously easy to eat.
WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS RECIPE…
- Super simple dough made with just a few pantry staples.
- No yeast or rising time required.
- Soft, sweet, and ready in about 20 minutes.
INGREDIENTS

Full measurements are in the recipe card below, but you only need five basic ingredients:
- Greek yoghurt — use a thick variety (regular plain Greek works best).
- Self-raising (self-rising) flour — if using all-purpose, add 2 tsp baking powder per cup of flour.
- Butter — melted, for brushing.
- Cinnamon — for the coating.
- Granulated (white) sugar — mixed with cinnamon for the topping.
INSTRUCTIONS
IN THE OVEN
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
2. Add 1 cup Greek yoghurt to a mixing bowl and stir. Add 1 cup flour and mix. Gradually add more flour — usually ½–¾ cup — until the dough comes together in a ball. The exact amount depends on how thick or wet your yoghurt is.

3. Turn the dough onto a well-floured surface and knead briefly until smooth. If sticky, add a little more flour. The dough should hold its shape and not stick.

4. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each into a long rope and cut each rope into bite-sized pieces — about 8 pieces per rope for 32 total.

5. Arrange the pieces on the prepared tray and bake 20 minutes, or until golden.

6. Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Brush the warm pretzel bites with melted butter, then toss them in the cinnamon sugar until evenly coated. Serve immediately for best texture.

IN THE AIR FRYER
The dough preparation is the same as above.
1. Prepare the dough following the same steps: 1 cup Greek yoghurt + 1 cup flour, then add extra flour as needed until the dough forms a ball. Knead briefly on a floured surface.
2. Cut into ropes and bite-sized pieces as described for the oven method.
3. Place the bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C / 350°F for 7–10 minutes, shaking the basket every few minutes, until golden. You may need to cook in batches if your basket is small.

4. Transfer to a plate, brush with melted butter, then toss in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve right away.

TIPS FOR MAKING THIS RECIPE
- Use thick Greek yoghurt (including low-fat Greek yoghurt) — do not substitute with ordinary plain yoghurt as it’s usually too runny.
- If using all-purpose/plain flour, add 2 teaspoons baking powder per cup to replace self-raising flour.
- Work quickly: the dough is best rolled and cooked soon after mixing.
- For a deeper golden color, brush with butter, bake or air-fry an extra 1–2 minutes, then brush and coat with cinnamon sugar again.
- A store-bought cinnamon sugar blend is fine if you prefer.
