Hey hey! Did this week fly by or did this week fly by? It absolutely flew by. Are you feeling fall yet? I’m not—at all.

Quick life update: on Thursday night I sat on a judging panel at Savor Pittsburgh and sampled some of the most delicious bites. It was amazing, but after tasting roughly forty dishes I was ready to collapse on the couch and stay there. One bite of each was plenty, even though I desperately wanted to try every dessert.

I have some exciting news and I need your help. I’m building a super awesome team for upcoming projects and I’m hiring—if you’re local, you get first dibs. If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you.

More good news: I’m contributing brand-new, exclusive recipes to The Pioneer Woman’s site each month. One of my recent contributions is Homemade Blackberry Soda Floats—ridiculously good and perfect for summer’s last days.

What are your plans this weekend? I’m doing some fun wedding errands with a friend and maybe soaking up what’s left of the August sun. Also: ice cream. Or a taco. Or a choco taco. Problem solved.

The internet was especially kind this week. Here are the things I’m currently obsessed with and the recipes I’m bookmarking:

  • Coconut tarts with a chocolate macaroon crust—my current love language.
  • I’m doing a little Target damage thanks to back-to-school season—yes to grown-up school supplies. I may have already bought the pencils.
  • Cheesy mozzarella French toast. How is this a thing? Why not?
  • I can’t believe I’m not eating fruity pebble buttermilk donuts right now.
  • Meatball parmesan sliders—yes, please.
  • Plan for tonight: coconut oil popcorn, a Felicity rewatch, and DIY banana split nails.
  • I’ve been craving salmon, potato and arugula salad all week.
  • Look at the butter on this hatch chile cornbread—perfection.
  • Gnocchi with pomodoro sauce makes me want to dive in; so comforting.
  • To finish the summer: blueberry, plum and almond crumble.
  • Make sure to try sweet corn and black bean tacos while fresh corn is available.
  • Also drooling over maple bacon polenta. Yes please.
  • And to close out the week: a kiwi caipirinha (the photos!) or a spicy jalapeño margarita. Together? It’s been a week—cheers.

What are you making this weekend? Any recipes I should try? I’m all ears and ready for recommendations.
