These Red Velvet Oreo Truffle Brownies are incredible — fudgy red velvet brownies topped with a creamy Oreo truffle layer and finished with a smooth chocolate coating. Three irresistible layers make this dessert a crowd-pleaser.

My original Oreo Truffle recipe is one of my favorites and a blog post I’m particularly proud of — it combines everything I love: rich brownies, no-bake Oreo truffles, and plenty of melted chocolate. With Valentine’s Day approaching, I decided to give that favorite brownie recipe a red velvet twist for a festive, chocolate-forward treat.

These bars were fun to make and a hit with everyone who tried them. If you love chocolate, these Red Velvet Oreo Truffle Brownies are a must-make — intensely flavorful, delightfully fudgy, and perfectly memorable.

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 fluid ounce bottle of red food coloring
- Oreo Truffle Layer
- 1 package Double Stuf Oreos
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- Chocolate layer
- 1½ cups milk chocolate chips
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar together until light. Add eggs one at a time and blend well, then stir in vanilla.
- Add cocoa, flour, and salt and mix just until combined; avoid overbeating. Stir in red food coloring until the batter is evenly colored.
- Pour batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan and bake 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely.
- While the brownies cool, prepare the Oreo truffle layer.
- Crush the Oreos finely in a food processor or place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until finely ground.
- Combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Use your hands or a spoon to work them together until smooth and well combined.
- Spread the Oreo truffle mixture in an even layer over the cooled brownies.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine both types of chocolate chips with the shortening. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
- Pour and spread the melted chocolate evenly over the Oreo layer. Smooth with an offset spatula for an even finish.
- Chill in the refrigerator until the chocolate is set, then cut into squares. For clean slices, chill well and use a sharp knife warmed briefly under hot water and wiped dry between cuts.
Enjoy!
